Stereolithography (SLA) is a "rapid-prototyping" process which produces a physical, three dimensional object from a 3D CAD file. A Stereolithography machine uses a computer controlled laser to cure a photosensitive resin, layer by layer, to create the 3D part. Materials used in SLA machines are state-of-the-art epoxy resins which produce the most accurate parts.

Production prototyping — a proprietary capability known as P3 — is a central element in the company's ability to leverage the power of imagination and deliver competitive assurance to its customers. P3 is an innovative approach to prototyping that delivers benefits most customers are not used to in the product development process: the speed of a prototype at the quality of production.

When you buy a traditional prototype you are only getting a prototype, and there are still several steps to complete before you'll have an approved, saleable product. With P3 from PTI, the same tool that provides the prototype for testing and validation can be used for the initial production run. In some low-volume scenarios the one tool is used for the entire production run. P3 provides faster time to market, lower overall development costs and functional injection-molded products without compromise to the product design or a limited offering of injection-molding resin

Prototype Stampings  

  Precision Metal Stamping

Using our extensive press capabilities we provide precision prototype metal stamping, specializing in high accuracy pieces of any complexity, working to tolerances of +/- 0.0005 in. Working on our 60 ton stamping press, we can micro stamp thin gage and thin wall metal as thin as 0.001 in., with a maximum of 0.125 in., to form prototypes for products like electronic connectors, sensor components, printed circuit boards, and surface mount pins. Our stamping processes run from coining, to compound or progressive stamping, to fine blanking, to open tooling. We use all tools at our disposal to manufacture your prototype.

We work with a wide variety of metals: more common ones like aluminum and stainless steel, to more exotic metals and alloys including manganese steel, Inconel®, and titanium. We can also stamp solder, wire cloth, and spring steel. With ISO 9001:2008 certification and available consulting, design, assembly and packaging services, you can be assured that CGR will be of high quality assistance in all steps of your process.

CNC Machining

CNC Machining

We use our CNC Machining capabilities to serve industries from transportation to machine tool to electronics, and more. Our 3-axis machines feature live tooling to efficiently produce parts of any complexity, with a work envelope of 45 in. x 25 in. x 20 in. Whether machine components, engine, turbine, or hydraulic components, construction equipment, shafts, forgings, pins or valves, we can produce any piece, in low volume runs or aluminum prototypes.

Products can be manufactured using standard metals, a range of exotic and precious metals like Inconel and palladium, plastic polymers including ABS and polypropylene, or other materials like ceramic or granite. Our machines feature spindles and chuck adapters and carry out processes from drilling, boring, and tapping, to reaming, flat end, chamfer, and twist milling, as well as high speed steel (HSS) cutting.
